Syndication: What We Do Differently & How We Protect Agents

Share this post:

Over the past few months, there’s been a lot of thought given to syndicated listings: In blog posts and Tweets some real estate industry professionals have worried about inaccurate or outdated listing information, paying for leads and competing professional advertisements.

Many experienced agents know that syndication can be instrumental in boosting a listing’s market exposure to a range of active buyers. This exposure is critical, especially in today’s market, but only if the information is handled properly. Here at LotNetwork.com, we are committed to being good stewards of all syndicated listing and agent contact information.

In light of the concerns about some third-party sites, we wanted to share our listing policy with everyone – up-front and on-the-record. Our mission is to make the connection between real estate agents and buyers so that everyone ends up happily matched. As part of that mission, we promise:

  • Syndicated listing information is updated daily and only displayed on LotNetwork.com if brokers have allowed it to be through their MLS.
  • Your contact information always is clear and prominent. Your name, firm name and complete contact information appear with your listing. We do not display other agents’ information with your listing.
  • You won’t pay if your listing is syndicated to our site. These listings are displayed for free on LotNetwork.com as Basic listings. Opportunities exist to have your property featured so that it appears more prominently. That is an upgrade option you can choose, but it is never automatically applied. Your listing, your choice.
  • We’re not driven by gimmicks, “gotchas”, simple click-throughs or impressions. We’re driven by successful connections between sellers and buyers.

We present the selling agent’s information as carefully and accurately as we would our own so that the ideal buyer can contact you to find their perfect homesite. That’s our promise.
